Superintendents - Production, Stockyard, Maintenance
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports to: Project Manager / Construction Manager
Job Summary:
The Superintendent is a leadership role with specific oversight over a major project area (Production, Stockyard, or Maintenance). They are responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of all daily operations within their domain, managing supervisors and frontline workforce.
Key Responsibilities (General for all Superintendents):
- Provide direct daily leadership to a team of supervisors and a large workforce.
- Implement the project execution plan for their specific area (e.g., production targets, stockyard logistics, maintenance reliability).
- Enforce strict compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental protocols.
- Monitor progress against schedule, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials) for their area.
- Collaborate with other superintendents, engineers, and the planning department to ensure integrated project flow.
- Prepare daily and weekly activity reports and contribute to project meetings.
Area-Specific Focus:
- Production Superintendent: Focus on concrete batching, precast yard, or structural erection outputs.
- Stockyard Superintendent: Focus on material receipt, storage, inventory control, and issuance to production/construction teams.
- Maintenance Superintendent: Focus on overall equipment health, workshop management, and maintenance strategy.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a supervisory or superintendent role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, within road & bridge, sewage & water, desalination plants, power plants, and building construction.
- Relevant diploma or degree in an engineering or technical field.
- Proven track record of managing large teams and complex site operations.
- Strong competency in site safety management (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
