Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports to: Superintendent - Maintenance / Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all preventive and corrective maintenance activities for heavy equipment, plant machinery, and facility systems across project sites. The role ensures minimal downtime, optimal equipment performance, and strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment related to road, bridge, sewage, water, desalination, power plant, and building projects.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities with production, stockyard, and construction supervisors to minimize disruption.
- Manage the maintenance work order system, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources (technicians, tools, parts) efficiently.
- Liaise with equipment vendors and subcontractors for specialized repairs and spare parts procurement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, costs, and inventory of critical spares.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company safety policies, OEM guidelines, and local regulations.
- Analyze equipment failure data to identify recurring issues and recommend design or procedural improvements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance reports for management review.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Maintenance Coordinator or Supervisor, specifically in large-scale road & bridge projects, sewage & water systems, desalination plants, power plants, and building construction & maintenance.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy construction equipment, MEP systems, and industrial plant machinery.
- Strong understanding of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
