Supervisors - Factory, Finishing, Lifting, MEP, Plastering, Scaffolding

Reports to: Respective Superintendent / Senior Engineer
Job Summary:
The Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for the direct supervision of tradesmen and operatives in a specific technical discipline. They ensure work is carried out safely, to the correct quality, and according to the daily plan.
Key Responsibilities (Common to all Supervisors):
- Directly supervise and provide task instructions to a team of technicians, tradesmen, and laborers.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict adherence to method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and monitor the site for safe working conditions.
- Inspect work for quality, identifying and correcting defects immediately.
- Monitor daily productivity and report progress to the superintendent.
- Manage the distribution of tools, materials, and equipment for their crew.
- Mentor and train junior workers.
Discipline-Specific Expertise Required:
- Factory Supervisor: Precast concrete production, steel fabrication, or batch plant operations.
- Finishing Supervisor: Architectural finishes, tiling, painting, flooring, and façade works in buildings.
- Lifting Supervisor: Certified to plan and supervise all crane operations, rigging, and heavy lifts (requires valid certification).
- MEP Supervisor: Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installations within buildings or plants.
- Plastering Supervisor: Internal and external plastering works, including rendering and screeding.
- Scaffolding Supervisor: Erection, modification, and dismantling of all scaffolding systems (requires advanced scaffolder certification).
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a direct supervisory capacity in their specific trade.
- Experience must be within road & bridge projects, sewage & water systems, desalination plants, power plants, and/or building construction & maintenance relevant to their discipline.
- Relevant trade certification, diploma, or ITI qualification.
- Mandatory professional certifications as required (e.g., Lifting Supervisor, Scaffolding Supervisor).
- Strong practical knowledge and ability to read drawings.
