Senior Engineer – Production
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports to: Production Superintendent / Project Director
Job Summary:
The Senior Production Engineer provides critical technical oversight and optimization for construction and manufacturing processes. This role focuses on enhancing productivity, ensuring quality standards, and managing resources to meet project milestones for complex infrastructure and building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all on-site production activities for precast, batching plants, steel fabrication, or building construction segments.
- Develop method statements, work procedures, and production schedules in alignment with project timelines.
- Optimize production processes, material flow, and manpower utilization to maximize efficiency and output.
- Resolve technical issues related to production, liaising with design and quality teams to implement solutions.
- Ensure all production activities comply with technical specifications, quality control plans, and safety standards.
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality or safety.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to production supervisors.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals for production feasibility.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a production or construction engineering role within road & bridge, sewage & water, desalination plants, power plants, and building construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing or construction management principles.
- Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
