Land Surveyor
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports to: Senior Engineer / Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Land Surveyor is responsible for all surveying activities on the project site, providing accurate geospatial data to guide construction from initial set-out through to final as-built documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precise setting-out of all project elements (roads, bridges, structures, pipelines, buildings) based on design coordinates.
- Conduct topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and volumetric calculations (cut/fill).
- Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, Laser Scanners, Levels).
- Monitor and report on structural deformations or settlements for bridges, buildings, and heavy structures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, data, and drawings.
- Liaise with engineers and site supervisors to verify alignment, levels, and dimensions.
- Ensure all survey work complies with project specifications and local authority regulations.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor on major road & bridge, sewage & water, desalination plants, power plants, and building construction projects.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency with surveying software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Infinity, etc.).
- Must be proficient with modern robotic total stations and GPS systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
