About the Role:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Assistant Store Keeper to support our warehouse and store operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficient inventory control, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of food & beverage products, and supporting the smooth running of our supply chain. This position is critical for ensuring product availability, quality, and compliance within a fast-paced F&B environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory & Stock Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming goods (raw materials, packaging, finished products) against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and issue materials for production or dispatch.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) methods to manage shelf life and minimize waste.
- Monitor stock levels and alert the Store Manager about low inventory or slow-moving items.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storage environment compliant with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, Dubai Municipality guidelines).
- Safely operate and perform basic maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity) for different product categories.
- Documentation & Coordination:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions.
- Prepare daily reports on receipts, issues, and stock balances.
- Coordinate effectively with the store, warehouse, procurement, and production teams to ensure seamless workflow.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies in documentation or stock.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and hygiene policies.
- Ensure all activities comply with food safety regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Store Assistant, Store Keeper, or similar role. Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of inventory control principles and stock management practices.
- Strong ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, inventory software).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
