Accounting Clerk
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Eligibility: UAE National (Family Book & Passport) with a Bachelor's/Diploma
Job Overview:
The Accounting Clerk provides support to the accounting department by performing routine tasks related to maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet support).
- Maintain and update vendor and customer files.
- Handle petty cash transactions and reconcile the fund.
- Support the senior accountant in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Verify the accuracy of bills and invoices by checking supporting documents.
- File and archive financial documents in an orderly system.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) is a plus.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong numerical and data entry skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
