Civil Engineer – Road Contracting (Site Operations)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join a dynamic road contracting team in the UAE. In this pivotal site-based role, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution, supervision, and coordination of road and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for road and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Liaise with local authorities (e.g., RTA, Municipality) for approvals, inspections, and compliance.
- Monitor project progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and manage site documentation.
- Supervise site staff and laborers, ensuring optimal productivity and safety compliance.
- Implement and enforce project safety, health, and environmental (HSE) plans.
- Manage resources, materials, and equipment efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays in project execution.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–8 years of proven UAE experience with a road contracting or major infrastructure company.
- Strong technical knowledge in road construction methodologies, materials, and standards.
- Excellent site execution, supervision, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in dealing with consultants, clients, and UAE authorities.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills (Advantageous):
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- Direct experience working on RTA / Dubai Municipality / Abu Dhabi Municipality or other major infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and HSE regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
