Area Manager
Reports To: Regional Director / Operations Director
Summary: The Area Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and operational excellence of multiple locations within a designated geographic area. This role provides leadership, strategic direction, and support to Restaurant/Store Managers to ensure consistent execution of brand standards, financial targets, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Management: Analyze P&L statements, sales reports, and KPIs for all assigned units. Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed financial goals (sales, profitability, cost control).
- Operational Excellence: Conduct regular audits and visits to ensure strict adherence to company standards for operations, food safety, health & safety, and service quality.
- Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Restaurant Managers. Build a pipeline of future leaders and manage performance through coaching and formal reviews.
- Customer Focus: Monitor customer feedback (reviews, surveys) and ensure effective resolution of escalated issues. Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction scores.
- Strategic Planning: Execute regional and national initiatives at the local level. Identify market opportunities and contribute to local marketing strategies.
- Vendor & Community Relations: Manage key local vendor relationships and represent the brand in the local community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- 5+ years of multi-unit management experience in retail, hospitality, or food service.
- Proven P&L management and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the area.
