The Steward Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing stewarding operations within staff accommodation facilities. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene in kitchen and food service areas while supporting smooth F&B operations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Stewarding Operations
- Supervise and allocate tasks to stewarding team members
- Ensure cleaning schedules are followed strictly
- Oversee dishwashing operations and equipment sanitation
- Monitor waste disposal and recycling procedures
Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, drains, and workstations
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaning processes
- Ensure correct usage and storage of cleaning chemicals
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and F&B teams for operational needs
- Support banquet and special event operations when required
- Ensure availability of clean utensils and equipment during peak hours
Inventory & Equipment Control
- Maintain records of cleaning supplies and chemicals
- Report damaged equipment for repair or replacement
- Monitor proper handling of kitchen tools and machinery
Team Management
- Train stewards on hygiene procedures and safety protocols
- Monitor performance and provide feedback
- Ensure compliance with PPE and safety guidelines
🔹 Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in stewarding operations, including supervisory role
- Strong understanding of HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures
