We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager – Project Cargo to lead commercial growth in oversized, heavy lift, and specialized cargo segments. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in complex logistics solutions and EPC project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new project cargo and heavy-lift business opportunities
- Target EPC contractors, oil & gas companies, energy, and infrastructure sectors
- Analyze RFQs and design cost-effective logistics solutions
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for complex shipments
- Negotiate long-term contracts and framework agreements
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for route surveys and feasibility studies
- Manage OOG (Out of Gauge) and breakbulk cargo movements
- Ensure compliance with international transport regulations and safety standards
- Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, charter brokers, and transport providers
- Conduct risk assessments and cost analysis for project shipments
- Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are met
- Provide detailed reporting on pipeline, revenue forecasts, and market intelligence
- Support tender submissions for large-scale industrial projects
- Lead client presentations and commercial negotiations
- Ensure profitability through strategic pricing and cost control
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions and networking events
Requirements:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project cargo or heavy lift logistics
- Strong knowledge of breakbulk, OOG, and multimodal transport
- Experience handling EPC or industrial projects preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage large-scale logistics projects independently
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, or Business preferred
