Job Title: Waitress / Server
Job Summary:
The Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Present menus and explain menu items, specials, and promotions
- Ensure guests feel comfortable and attended to throughout their visit
2. Order Taking & Service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the system
- Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly
- Check on customers to ensure satisfaction and address any needs
3. Table Management
- Set up tables with proper utensils, glassware, and napkins
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of the dining area
- Reset tables quickly for new guests
4. Billing & Payments
- Prepare and present bills to customers
- Process payments (cash, card, or digital methods) accurately
- Handle transactions responsibly
5. Coordination
- Communicate orders clearly with kitchen and bar staff
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth service
- Assist colleagues during busy periods
6. Hygiene & Safety
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain personal cleanliness and proper uniform
- Comply with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service (preferred but not mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
