Job Title: Fitness Studio Manager
Job Summary:
The Fitness Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fitness studio, ensuring exceptional member experiences, driving membership growth, and managing staff and facilities. This role combines leadership, sales, and operational management to maintain a high-quality fitness environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily studio operations, including opening/closing procedures
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of equipment and facilities
- Maintain a welcoming and motivating studio environment
2. Membership Sales & Retention
- Drive membership sales through promotions, referrals, and outreach
- Develop strategies to retain members and increase engagement
- Monitor membership trends and implement improvement plans
3. Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise trainers, instructors, and front desk staff
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching
4. Customer Experience
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Address member concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Build strong relationships with clients and create a community atmosphere
5. Financial Management
- Manage studio budgets, revenue, and expenses
- Track sales performance and achieve financial targets
- Handle billing, payments, and financial reporting
6. Marketing & Promotions
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, events, and fitness programs
- Collaborate with marketing teams for social media and promotions
- Organize special classes, challenges, and workshops
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Enforce proper use of equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain certifications and insurance requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in fitness, gym, or hospitality management
- Certification in fitness training or related field (advantage)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
