Job Title: Waiter / Server
Job Summary:
The Waiter is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Service
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables (if required)
- Present menus and explain dishes, ingredients, and daily specials
- Provide attentive service and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal
2. Order Taking & Food Service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the system
- Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly
- Monitor tables and respond to guest requests in a timely manner
3. Table Setup & Maintenance
- Prepare tables with proper cutlery, glassware, and condiments
- Clear and clean tables after guests leave
- Reset tables efficiently for new customers
4. Billing & Cash Handling
- Prepare and present bills to guests
- Process payments accurately (cash, card, or digital methods)
- Handle transactions responsibly and maintain accuracy
5. Team Coordination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations
- Assist other team members during busy shifts
6. Hygiene & Safety
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and service stations
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Good communication and customer service skills
