Job Title: 3D Designer
Job Summary
The 3D Designer is responsible for creating high-quality three-dimensional models, visualizations, and animations for various projects such as advertising, product design, architecture, gaming, or film. This role involves translating concepts into realistic or stylized 3D visuals while meeting creative and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. 3D Modeling & Design
- Create detailed 3D models, textures, and materials
- Develop environments, objects, and assets based on project needs
- Ensure accuracy and realism (or stylization) in designs
2. Rendering & Visualization
- Produce high-quality renderings and visual outputs
- Apply lighting, shading, and camera techniques
- Optimize renders for different platforms (print, web, video)
3. Animation (if required)
- Create 3D animations and motion sequences
- Work on product animations, walkthroughs, or visual effects
- Ensure smooth and realistic movement
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with designers, architects, marketing teams, or developers
- Understand project briefs and translate ideas into visual concepts
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
5. Software & Tools
- Use 3D software such as Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, or similar
- Stay updated with new tools, plugins, and industry trends
- Ensure proper file management and version control
6. Quality Control
- Maintain high standards of visual quality and detail
- Ensure designs meet technical and production requirements
- Troubleshoot design or rendering issues
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D)
- Knowledge of rendering engines (V-Ray, Arnold, Redshift, etc.)
- Understanding of lighting, composition, and texturing
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Basic knowledge of animation and motion graphics (preferred)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in 3D Design, Animation, Visual Arts, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in 3D design or visualization
- Strong portfolio demonstrating 3D work
