Job Title: Orthopedic Surgeon
Job Summary
An Orthopedic Surgeon is a medical specialist responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions related to the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. The role involves both surgical and non-surgical treatments to restore mobility and improve patients’ quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal disorders and injuries (fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, spinal conditions, etc.)
- Perform surgical procedures such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, and arthroscopic surgeries
- Evaluate patient history, conduct physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRI, CT scans)
- Develop and implement treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Prescribe medications and recommend physical therapy
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Follow medical ethics, safety standards, and healthcare regulations
- Participate in continuous medical education and clinical research
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS degree with MS/DNB in Orthopedics or equivalent
- Valid medical license/registration with relevant medical council
- Proven experience in orthopedic surgery
- Strong surgical and clinical skills
- Ability to handle emergency and trauma cases
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and patient care skills

Reporting Line
