Job Title: IT Network Lead
Job Summary:
The IT Network Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of all network systems while leading a team of IT professionals and coordinating with other departments for smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
- Lead and mentor the network support team and IT engineers
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages
- Implement network security measures, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Manage routers, switches, servers, and network hardware/software
- Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for network solutions
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience in network administration or IT infrastructure roles
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless systems
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA / CCNP / CCIE (Cisco Certifications)
- CompTIA Network+
- ITIL Certification (advantage)
