Job Title: Heavy & Light Vehicle Driver
Job Summary
The Heavy & Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely operating both light and heavy vehicles to transport passengers, goods, or materials to designated locations. The role requires adherence to traffic laws, ensuring vehicle safety, timely delivery, and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive light vehicles (cars, vans) and heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, tankers) as assigned
- Transport goods, materials, or personnel safely and efficiently
- Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and secure handling of cargo
- Follow all traffic rules, safety regulations, and company policies
- Maintain trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation
- Report accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance issues immediately
- Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition
- Assist in basic vehicle maintenance when required
- Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients
Required Qualifications
- Valid driving license for both light and heavy vehicles (as per local regulations)
- Proven driving experience in light and heavy vehicles
- Good knowledge of road safety rules and traffic laws
- Ability to operate long-distance routes and work flexible hours
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Good physical fitness and alertness
