Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and caring Bus Assistant to support the safe transportation of students or passengers on school or company buses. The Bus Assistant will help maintain order, assist passengers during boarding and drop-off, and ensure safety procedures are followed throughout the journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students or passengers while boarding and exiting the bus safely.
- Ensure passengers remain seated and follow safety rules during travel.
- Support young children or passengers with special needs when required.
- Maintain discipline and orderly behavior on the bus.
- Assist the driver in monitoring passenger safety.
- Conduct attendance checks or maintain passenger records if required.
- Report incidents, behavioral concerns, or emergencies to management.
- Ensure the bus is clean and organized after trips.
- Help during emergency evacuations and follow safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, or supervisors as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in transportation services preferred.
- Basic understanding of safety and emergency procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in different situations.
