Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Senior Injection Moulding professionals who can work hands-on with injection moulding machines while supervising operators during production shifts. The candidate will be responsible for mould changes, machine setup, process setting, troubleshooting, start-up approval, production efficiency, and shift discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mould changes safely and efficiently.
- Set up injection moulding machines as per product, mould, and material requirements.
- Adjust process parameters including temperature, pressure, speed, holding pressure, cooling time, cycle time, and dosing settings.
- Check material preparation, drying conditions, colour changes, and material flow.
- Perform first-off inspection before production release.
- Identify and correct moulding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, burn marks, warpage, black spots, flow marks, colour variation, and dimensional issues.
- Support cycle-time optimisation and production efficiency improvements.
- Supervise machine operators during the shift.
- Maintain shift discipline, attendance, break control, workplace cleanliness, and production targets.
- Ensure operators follow quality, safety, and production procedures.
- Complete production records, shift reports, downtime reports, and quality checks.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and report machine, mould, or utility issues.
- Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection moulding.
- Strong experience in mould change, machine setup, process setting, defect troubleshooting, and production supervision.
- Experience working in rotating shifts, including night shifts.
- Experience in a structured manufacturing environment with production targets and factory discipline.
- Very good knowledge of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Diploma / ITI / CIPET / Plastics Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Tool-Room Training or equivalent technical background.
- Good knowledge of injection moulding machines, moulds, plastic materials, dryers, chillers, grinders, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings, product specifications, quality standards, and process sheets.
