Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician / Assistant Setter to support senior setters and supervisors with mould changes, machine setup, production troubleshooting, process monitoring, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with mould installation, removal, clamping, water connections, hydraulic/pneumatic connections, and machine preparation.
- Support machine setup and process parameter adjustment.
- Monitor process stability during production.
- Assist with material changes, colour changes, drying, and material handling.
- Check parts during production and report defects immediately.
- Support first-off inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Help operators maintain production records and follow work instructions.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine, mould, material, or process-related issues.
- Support basic machine cleaning, mould cleaning, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and disciplined working area.
Requirements
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in plastic injection moulding.
- Practical experience assisting with mould changes, machine setup, process monitoring, troubleshooting, and quality inspection.
- Ability to work under the direction of senior setters and shift supervisors.
- Comfortable working rotating shifts, including night shifts and Saturdays, where required and legally permitted.
- Very good knowledge of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Diploma / ITI / CIPET / Mechanical / Electrical / Plastics Processing / Tool-Room or equivalent technical training.
- Good understanding of injection moulding defects, production discipline, machine operation, and factory safety rules.
