Job Title: HSE Officer / Safety Officer
Job Summary
The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment. The role focuses on preventing workplace accidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Conduct safety inductions, training programs, and toolbox talks for employees.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all work areas.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, and working at heights.
- Support emergency preparedness, drills, and evacuation procedures.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to ensure safe working practices.
- Promote awareness of environmental protection and sustainability practices.
- Assist in safety audits and inspections conducted by internal or external authorities.
- Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety standards.
Required Skills

Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–5+ years of experience in HSE or safety-related roles.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly preferred.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial environments is an advantage.
