Job Summary:
The Senior Land Surveyor oversees all surveying operations on assigned projects, ensuring that measurements, maps, and geospatial data are accurate and comply with project specifications, legal requirements, and industry standards. The role includes supervising survey crews, operating advanced survey equipment, and coordinating with engineers, architects, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise land surveying activities.
- Conduct topographic, boundary, construction, as-built, and control surveys.
- Establish and verify survey control points and benchmarks.
- Operate and oversee the use of Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, levels, drones, and other survey instruments.
- Review survey data, calculations, and reports for accuracy.
- Prepare survey drawings, maps, and reports using surveying and CAD software.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior surveyors and survey technicians.
- Monitor survey schedules, manpower, and equipment utilization.
- Resolve technical surveying issues and provide professional recommendations.
- Maintain survey records and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of surveying experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, and geodetic concepts.
- Experience with construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, mining, or land development projects.
- Proficiency in survey software such as:
