Job Summary:
The Transport / Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transportation and logistics operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods. The role involves managing shipments, coordinating with drivers and suppliers, tracking deliveries, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily transportation and logistics activities to ensure on-time delivery of goods.
- Schedule and assign vehicles, drivers, and routes based on operational requirements.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers, suppliers, and management.
- Track deliveries and resolve transportation issues, delays, or disruptions.
- Coordinate with warehouses, vendors, freight carriers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain transportation schedules, delivery records, and logistics documentation.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist in optimizing routes and transportation costs.
- Prepare logistics reports, performance metrics, and operational analyses.
- Process shipping documents, invoices, delivery notes, and customs-related paperwork when required.
- Support inventory movement and distribution planning activities.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or fleet coordination.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and logistics management systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
