Position Title: Civil Foreman
Job Summary:
The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities on-site to ensure civil works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications, quality standards, and schedules. The role involves managing labor teams, monitoring work progress, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily civil construction activities, including excavation, concreting, masonry, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and related works.
- Allocate tasks and manage site workers, skilled laborers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, and quality of construction activities.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and other departments to resolve site issues.
- Inspect work areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain records of labor attendance, daily progress, material usage, and equipment deployment.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Report construction progress, delays, and site challenges to management.
- Assist in planning work schedules and resource requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote a safe working environment.
- Verify that materials and completed work meet project quality standards.
- Support site inspections and coordinate with consultants and clients when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma, technical certification, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman in building, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and site practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and quality standards.
