Job Title: Control Room Operator
Job Summary:
A Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and controlling systems, equipment, and processes from a centralized control room to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. The role involves responding to alarms, coordinating with field personnel, maintaining operational records, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor plant, facility, or operational systems through control panels, SCADA systems, CCTV, and other monitoring tools.
- Operate and adjust equipment and processes to maintain optimal performance.
- Identify, investigate, and respond to alarms, faults, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Coordinate with field operators, maintenance teams, and supervisors to resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and shift records.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct routine system checks and performance monitoring.
- Escalate critical incidents and equipment failures to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Support shutdown, startup, and emergency operations as required.
- Communicate operational status and shift handover information effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification (Diploma/Degree preferred in relevant technical fields).
- Experience in control room operations, plant operations, manufacturing, utilities, security monitoring, or related industries.
- Knowledge of control systems, monitoring equipment, and operational procedures.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with monitoring software.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- 24/7 shift-based environment.
- Prolonged periods of monitoring screens and control systems.
