Job Summary
The Civil / Architectural Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation based on architectural, structural, and engineering requirements. The role involves close coordination with architects, engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings meet project specifications and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural and civil drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop shop drawings for construction and fit-out works.
- Prepare and update as-built drawings based on site modifications.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, consultants, and site personnel.
- Revise drawings according to project requirements and consultant comments.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and material coordination when required.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and construction progress.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in architectural or civil drafting.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and construction drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Revit or other BIM software.
- UAE/GCC construction experience.
- Knowledge of architectural finishes, fit-out works, and site coordination.
