Job Summary
The Warehouse Fulfillment In-Charge is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse fulfillment operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer orders, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch activities. The role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction while leading warehouse staff and coordinating with logistics and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment Management
- Supervise end-to-end order fulfillment activities, including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched within established timelines.
- Monitor order status and resolve fulfillment issues promptly.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to meet delivery requirements.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, storage, replenishment, and dispatch operations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Implement and maintain warehouse operating procedures and best practices.
Inventory Control
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems.
Team Supervision
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse fulfillment staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor employee productivity.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Support employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Logistics & Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate shipments with transportation providers and courier services.
- Prepare shipping documentation and dispatch schedules.
- Monitor outbound deliveries and address transportation-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with customer and carrier requirements.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce warehouse safety procedures and operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
- Promote a safe and organized working environment.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Track fulfillment performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor KPIs related to order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and delivery performance.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment operations.
- Experience supervising warehouse teams and fulfillment processes.
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management practices.
