Job Title: Maintenance Field Service Representative (FSR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Maintenance Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide on-site installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems at customer locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as applicable.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to customer service requests and equipment breakdowns.
- Test equipment after maintenance or repairs to ensure proper operation and performance.
- Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and operational guidance to customers and end users.
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and service equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations while working on-site.
- Coordinate with engineering, technical support, and service teams to resolve complex issues.
- Train customers on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures when required.
- Travel to customer locations as assigned to perform field service activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Representative, Maintenance Technician, Field Service Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment and maintenance tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or automation systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, CNC equipment, or industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Relevant technical certifications or manufacturer training are an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily at customer sites, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or field locations.
- Frequent travel, including overnight travel, may be required.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and respond to emergency service calls.
- Must be able to lift equipment and tools, stand for extended periods, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts based on operational requirements.
