Job Summary
The Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management and administration of camp facilities, ensuring safe, hygienic, and efficient living conditions for employees and visitors. The role oversees accommodation, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, and welfare services while ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and client requirements. The Camp Boss coordinates with internal departments and external service providers to maintain high standards of camp operations and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the camp, including accommodation, housekeeping, catering, laundry, maintenance, transportation, and security services.
- Ensure camp facilities are clean, safe, well-maintained, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Allocate accommodation and maintain accurate occupancy records for employees and visitors.
- Supervise camp staff, including housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, and administrative personnel.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of camp buildings, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Monitor food service quality, hygiene standards, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of camp facilities and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage camp inventory, supplies, and procurement of consumables and equipment.
- Prepare work schedules, supervise staff performance, and provide training and coaching.
- Address resident concerns, complaints, and welfare issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, local regulations, and labor accommodation standards.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire safety, evacuation drills, and incident response.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on occupancy, maintenance, inventory, incidents, and operational performance.
- Monitor operational budgets and control camp-related expenses.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
- Support audits and inspections by clients and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Training or certification in health, safety, food hygiene, first aid, or facilities management is an advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in camp management, facilities management, hospitality, or accommodation services.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in workforce accommodation camps, remote sites, construction, oil and gas, mining, or industrial environments is preferred.

Working Conditions
- Camp, remote site, construction project, industrial facility, mining site, or oil and gas environment.
- May require living on-site and working rotational shifts.
- Availability to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours may be required.
