Job Description – Senior Compliance Officer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 35,000 per month
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Compliance Officer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Compliance, Ethics, Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CFT), Financial Crime Compliance, and Regulatory Compliance. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining robust compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory requirements, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enhance Compliance, Ethics, AML/CFT, and Financial Crime frameworks across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT regulations, sanctions, and corporate governance standards.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments, internal investigations, third-party due diligence, and policy reviews.
- Develop and maintain policies related to:
- Know Your Customer (KYC) / Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
- Transaction Monitoring
- Sanctions Screening
- Anti-Bribery & Corruption
- Whistleblowing
- Gifts & Hospitality
- Conflicts of Interest
- Provide compliance and financial crime advisory support to business stakeholders.
- Design and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for employees.
- Prepare compliance reports and support regulatory reporting requirements.
- Liaise with regulators and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, transparency, and regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Compliance, Ethics, AML/CFT, Financial Crime, or Regulatory Compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CCEP, CGSS, CISI, or equivalent are highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in AML/CFT, Financial Crime Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Ethics, and Sanctions Compliance.
- Thorough understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks, including:
- Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA)
- Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)
- Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX)
- UAE Ministry of Economy
- FATF Recommendations
- UAE AML/CFT Regulations
- Hands-on experience with:
- AML/CFT Frameworks
- KYC/CDD
- Transaction Monitoring
- Sanctions Screening
- Compliance Risk Assessments
- Third-Party Due Diligence
- Policy Development
- Anti-Bribery & Corruption Programs
- Whistleblowing Frameworks
- Regulatory Reporting
- Strong knowledge of OFAC, UN, EU, and UAE sanctions regimes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
