Job Description – Waiter (Restaurant)
A Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience while maintaining restaurant service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide professional and friendly service.
- Present menus, explain dishes, and provide recommendations when required.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers.
- Serve food and drinks according to restaurant standards.
- Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Communicate customer orders clearly with the kitchen and beverage teams.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests professionally.
- Handle customer complaints and report issues to supervisors.
- Perform upselling of menu items, beverages, and special offers.
- Process customer bills and coordinate with cashier when required.
- Clear and reset tables after service.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and professional appearance.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and service procedures.
- Support team members during busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Server in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Experience in Arabic cuisine restaurants is preferred.
- Good knowledge of menu items and restaurant service procedures.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory (as per the vacancy requirement).
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
