Job Description – Sports Bar Manager
A Sports Bar Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of a sports bar, leading the service team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of beverage, food service, and hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all daily operations of the sports bar, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead, train, and motivate bar and service teams to deliver excellent guest experiences.
- Ensure smooth service during busy periods, events, and sports broadcasts.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, hospitality, and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee beverage operations, including cocktails, drinks, menu standards, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, ordering, and beverage cost control.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety standards, and hygiene regulations.
- Create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for guests.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage team performance.
- Conduct staff briefings and ensure clear communication within the team.
- Monitor sales performance and support revenue growth through promotions and upselling.
- Coordinate with kitchen, hotel departments, and management teams.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and service standards within the bar area.
- Assist with planning special events, sports nights, and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sports Bar Manager, Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, or F&B Supervisor.
- Experience managing sports bars or high-volume bar operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beverage operations, service standards, and guest relations.
- Hospitality experience in a hotel environment is an advantage.
- Good understanding of inventory control, cost management, and staff scheduling.
