Job Description – Restaurant Supervisor
A Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for managing daily restaurant operations, supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining service, hygiene, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service.
- Manage and coordinate front-of-house staff, including waiters, waitresses, cashiers, and beverage team.
- Assign duties, prepare staff schedules, and monitor team performance.
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints, feedback, and special requests professionally.
- Monitor food and beverage service quality and presentation standards.
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and safety procedures are followed.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor table arrangements, service flow, and guest seating.
- Train and guide new employees on service standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and local regulations.
- Prepare daily reports related to sales, staff performance, and operations.
- Assist management in improving restaurant efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or Team Leader in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Experience managing restaurant staff and daily operations.
- Experience in Arabic cuisine or UAE hospitality operations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory (as per vacancy requirements).
- Good English communication skills.
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and restaurant procedures.
