Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of goods. This role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading the warehouse team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse procedures to improve productivity and accuracy.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, ensuring high performance and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts and audits.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, sales, and logistics teams to meet operational requirements.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare warehouse performance reports and analyze key operational metrics.
- Manage warehouse budgets and control operational costs.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment while maintaining quality standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of warehouse or logistics experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
