Job Description: Project Manager
Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and successfully delivering projects within the approved scope, budget, quality standards, and schedule. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages project resources, communicates with stakeholders, identifies and mitigates risks, and ensures compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and timelines, implementing corrective actions when required.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Oversee procurement activities and coordinate the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve project documentation, including method statements, schedules, change orders, and progress reports.
- Manage project variations, claims, and contractual correspondence in coordination with commercial and contract teams.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor project staff to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure successful project handover, close-out documentation, and lessons learned are completed.
- Perform other project management duties assigned by senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, contract administration, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
