Job Title: Civil Site Engineer
Job Summary:
A Civil Site Engineer is responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities at the project site, ensuring that work is executed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Interpret engineering drawings and provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Verify measurements and quantities for billing and cost control.
- Resolve technical issues and report project risks or delays.
- Coordinate material inspections and testing activities.
- Maintain site documentation, records, and as-built drawings.
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 2–8+ years of experience in civil construction or site engineering (depending on the role level).
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and construction standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of project scheduling software (Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an advantage).
