Job Title: Civil Project / Construction Manager
Job Summary:
A Civil Project / Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish. They ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage all phases of civil construction projects.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Supervise site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and government authorities.
- Review engineering drawings, contracts, and technical documents.
- Manage procurement of construction materials and equipment.
- Track project costs and prepare progress reports.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
- Resolve technical issues and site-related challenges.
- Ensure timely project completion and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–15+ years of experience in civil construction or project management (depending on the role level).
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards.
- Experience with project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction management software.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and cost control.
