Job Title: Sales Engineer – Waterproofing
Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer – Waterproofing is responsible for promoting and selling waterproofing products and systems to contractors, consultants, architects, developers, distributors, and project owners. The role combines technical expertise with sales skills to identify project opportunities, provide technical solutions, prepare quotations, and achieve sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction and building materials sector.
- Promote and sell waterproofing solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers, distributors, and project owners.
- Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and stakeholders.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify sales opportunities.
- Recommend appropriate waterproofing systems based on project requirements and site conditions.
- Prepare technical proposals, product specifications, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts with customers.
- Coordinate with technical, operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely project execution and product delivery.
- Conduct site visits to provide technical support, troubleshoot installation issues, and monitor product performance.
- Follow up on quotations, project approvals, purchase orders, and customer payments.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates using CRM software.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging waterproofing technologies.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, technical seminars, and industry networking events.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience in technical sales or project sales within the waterproofing, construction chemicals, or building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, construction practices, and building materials.
- Familiarity with project sales cycles, tendering, and specification processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently (where required).
