Job Title: Sales Engineer – Building Insulation
Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer – Building Insulation is responsible for promoting and selling building insulation solutions to contractors, consultants, architects, developers, distributors, and project owners. The role combines technical expertise with sales skills to identify opportunities, provide product recommendations, prepare quotations, and achieve sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the building and construction sector.
- Promote and sell thermal, acoustic, and fire-rated insulation products and systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers, and distributors.
- Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
- Provide technical support and recommend suitable insulation solutions based on project requirements.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify sales opportunities.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts with customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure timely project execution.
- Monitor project progress and follow up on quotations, orders, and payments.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports using CRM systems.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, building codes, and insulation technologies.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars, and networking events.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of sales or technical sales experience in building materials, insulation, construction products, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, fire protection systems, and building envelope solutions.
- Knowledge of construction specifications, building codes, and project sales processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction drawings is an advantage.
