Job Title: Technical Marketing Manager – Building Insulation
Job Summary:
The Technical Marketing Manager – Building Insulation is responsible for developing and executing technical marketing strategies to promote building insulation products and systems. This role bridges the gap between engineering, product management, sales, and marketing by providing technical expertise, developing product positioning, supporting specification activities, and driving market growth. The Technical Marketing Manager works closely with architects, consultants, contractors, developers, and internal teams to increase product awareness and expand market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical marketing strategies for building insulation products and systems.
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market plans.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
- Prepare technical marketing materials, product literature, brochures, presentations, and specification guides.
- Deliver technical presentations, seminars, webinars, and product training for customers, consultants, architects, distributors, and internal sales teams.
- Support specification activities by working with consultants and architects to secure product approvals and project specifications.
- Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to introduce new products and enhance existing solutions.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during project bidding, customer meetings, and product selection.
- Develop case studies, technical articles, white papers, and success stories to strengthen brand credibility.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and product certifications.
- Coordinate participation in trade exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
- Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market acceptance to recommend product improvements.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, developers, industry associations, and regulatory authorities.
- Support digital marketing initiatives by creating technical content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and online training platforms.
- Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, project specifications, and market performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 7–10+ years of experience in technical marketing, product management, specification sales, or business development within the building materials or insulation industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, passive fire protection, and building envelope systems.
- Understanding of construction specifications, building codes, sustainability standards, and energy efficiency requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD, BIM platforms, or specification software is an advantage.
