Job Description: Project Sales Executive – Joinery
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Sales Executive – Joinery to develop and manage sales opportunities for custom joinery, interior fit-out, and woodworking projects.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying new projects, developing relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, developers, and project owners, and managing the sales process from initial enquiry through project award and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new project sales opportunities for custom joinery, interior fit-out, furniture, doors, wall panels, cabinetry, and other woodworking solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, developers, and project management companies.
- Identify upcoming residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, office, and other construction/interior projects.
- Visit project sites and meet clients to understand project requirements, specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements in coordination with estimation and technical teams.
- Prepare and submit quotations, commercial proposals, material specifications, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with estimation, design, production, procurement, and project management teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, tenders, and negotiations to secure project orders.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract/order confirmation.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions within company guidelines.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for additional works, variations, upgrades, and repeat projects.
- Maintain an updated database of projects, clients, consultants, contractors, and sales opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, materials, and new joinery solutions.
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and gross-margin targets.
- Submit regular sales reports, pipeline updates, forecasts, and project status reports to management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in joinery sales, interior fit-out sales, construction sales, furniture sales, or project-based B2B sales.
- Strong understanding of joinery products, materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with project-based sales and tender processes.
- Ability to understand architectural/interior drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
- Good commercial awareness and ability to work with pricing and project budgets.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CRM or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and project/site visits.
