Position Summary
We are looking for experienced and customer-focused Servers to provide excellent food and beverage service and ensure a positive dining experience for hotel and restaurant guests.
Job Description
The Server is responsible for welcoming guests, taking food and beverage orders, delivering meals and drinks, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills and previous experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and ensure they are seated comfortably.
- Explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage options.
- Provide helpful recommendations to guests.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.
- Check guest satisfaction and respond professionally to concerns.
- Clear completed courses and replenish utensils when required.
- Prepare and reset tables for the next guests.
- Process cash and credit-card payments accurately.
- Provide correct change and maintain payment accuracy.
- Keep the dining area clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- A valid Skills Pass Certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Server.
- Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant is highly preferred.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with guests and handle inquiries professionally.
- Genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of food and wine offerings.
- Experience using POS systems and processing orders.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
