Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Barista to prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Job Description
The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages in a café, restaurant, coffee shop, or hotel. The role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and specialty beverages.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and correctly.
- Take customer orders and process payments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
- Restock ingredients, beverages, and supplies as required.
- Follow recipes and beverage presentation standards consistently.
- Assist with daily opening and closing duties.
- Maintain hygiene and food-safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a hospitality team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Skills Pass Certificate is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Barista is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the same position.
- Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Positive attitude and teamwork mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Conversational English – spoken.
- Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista.
- Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant is highly preferred.
