Job Title: Project Engineer / Field Engineer

Reports To: Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer
Job Summary:
The Engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles and techniques to solve complex technical problems. This role involves designing, planning, and overseeing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Engineer collaborates closely with technicians, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Design & Planning:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Create and review technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure design integrity and compliance with standards.
- Project Execution & Management:
- Oversee and coordinate project activities from conception to completion.
- Source and manage materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and prepare regular status reports for management.
- Technical Support & Problem-Solving:
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and other team members on-site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues that arise during project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess conditions and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all engineering work complies with industry codes, legal regulations, and company QHSE policies.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design files, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in an engineering role, preferably within the relevant industry.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB) and MS Project.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
