Equipment Operator (Grade 3)
Basic Monthly Salary: 3,750 SAR
Job Summary:
The Equipment Operator is a skilled professional responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy and light motorized equipment used in landscape construction and maintenance. This includes tractors, loaders, backhoes, skid-steers, excavators, and large mowers. The operator will perform routine maintenance and ensure the equipment is clean, functional, and ready for daily use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Safely and proficiently operate a diverse range of machinery for tasks such as grading, tilling, sodding, trenching, loading, transporting materials, and rough mowing.
- Daily Inspections: Perform pre-operation inspections (checking fluids, tires, controls, and attachments) and report any mechanical issues or defects to the mechanic or supervisor.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct basic preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes as per the equipment maintenance schedule.
- Worksite Safety: Ensure a safe work environment by using proper signaling, being aware of surroundings, and adhering to all operational safety procedures.
- Task Execution: Follow work orders and supervisor instructions to complete tasks efficiently, including fine grading for irrigation installation, digging for pipe repairs, and moving bulk materials.
- Attachment Use: Skillfully use and change various attachments such as buckets, augers, rakes, and trenchers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a wide range of landscape or construction equipment.
- Understanding of basic mechanical principles and routine maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret grade stakes and simple site plans.
- A strong safety mindset and excellent situational awareness.
- Physical fitness and ability to work long hours in a seated position operating machinery.
