Job Summary:
The HSE Officer will be instrumental in promoting and ensuring a safe work culture on site. This role involves monitoring all site activities to ensure compliance with corporate and client (Aramco) HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site HSE inspections, audits, and observations.
- Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems (PTW), especially for hot work, confined space, and electrical works.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Conduct toolbox talks, HSE inductions, and awareness campaigns for the workforce.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure the availability, correctness, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain HSE records, statistics, and reports as required by management and the client.
- Assist the HSE Manager in emergency response planning and drills.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the construction industry within the GCC.
- Mandatory Certification: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
- Any relevant Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous Aramco approval is a significant advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, IOGP, and Aramco HSE standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence safe behavior.
