Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Role Summary:
As an ER Nurse at SEHA, you will be on the front lines of healthcare, providing urgent and critical care to patients of all ages with a wide spectrum of illnesses and injuries. You must rapidly assess, prioritize (triage), and intervene in life-threatening situations. Your ability to communicate calmly and clearly with distressed patients and families in Tagalog is crucial in this fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid triage to prioritize patient care based on the severity of condition.
- Conduct focused assessments, initiate diagnostic tests, and administer emergency medications and treatments.
- Assist with critical procedures such as intubation, CPR, trauma resuscitation, wound suturing, and splinting.
- Monitor patients closely for changes in condition and respond to emergencies.
- Provide clear, compassionate communication and education to patients and families in Tagalog and English during stressful situations.
- Collaborate effectively with ER physicians, paramedics, and other specialists in a multidisciplinary team.
- Manage the flow of patients in the ER, ensuring efficient admission or safe discharge.
- Document all care accurately and comprehensively under time constraints.
- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and resuscitation carts.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid nursing license & BSN or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy Emergency Department or Trauma Center.
- Fluency in Tagalog and English is mandatory.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required. TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is highly preferred.
