Registered Nurse - Pediatric ICU (PICU) | Tagalog-Speaking
Position: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Role Summary:
As a PICU Nurse at SEHA, you will care for critically ill or injured infants, children, and adolescents. You will manage a wide range of conditions from severe infections and trauma to post-operative cardiac care. Your expertise in pediatric assessment, family support, and clear communication in Tagalog is essential to help both the young patient and their family navigate a critical health crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, including advanced respiratory support, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication administration.
- Perform age-specific assessments and tailor interventions to the developmental stage of the child.
- Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to both the patient and their distressed family members in Tagalog and English.
- Educate and prepare families for procedures, updates on condition, and eventual transition to the ward.
- Collaborate with pediatric intensivists, specialists, and child life services.
- Operate and manage specialized pediatric equipment.
- Advocate for the needs and comfort of the pediatric patient within the care team.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid nursing license & BSN or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Fluency in Tagalog and English is mandatory.
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is required. CPR (BLS) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric pathophysiology, growth, and development.
- Compassion, creativity in engaging with children, and exceptional family support skills.
