Registered Nurse - Adult ICU | Tagalog-Speaking
Position: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Role Summary:
As an ICU Nurse at SEHA, you will provide expert care to critically ill adult patients with multi-system organ failure, complex medical conditions, or those recovering from major surgery. You will be responsible for continuous monitoring, advanced intervention, and making rapid clinical decisions. Your ability to explain critical care processes to Tagalog-speaking families with clarity and empathy is a cornerstone of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage 1-2 critically ill patients, performing comprehensive hourly assessments and interpreting complex data from monitors and ventilators.
- Administer and titrate high-risk IV medications (vasopressors, sedatives, inotropes) via central lines.
- Provide advanced respiratory care, including managing mechanical ventilators and performing endotracheal suctioning.
- Coordinate and provide all aspects of daily care while preventing complications (VAP, CLABSI, pressure injuries).
- Serve as the primary communicator with the patient's family in Tagalog and English, providing clear updates, education, and emotional support during critical illness.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary critical care team.
- Respond to and lead in-unit medical emergencies (e.g., Code Blue).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid nursing license & BSN or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Fluency in Tagalog and English is mandatory.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS certifications are required. CCRN certification is highly valued.
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and advanced IV skills.
- Outstanding clinical judgment, calm demeanor under pressure, and strong advocacy skills.
